Approach: To Taksindu from KTM by Jeep. Then trek via Dudh Kunda.

BC 27/09 2700m at northern shore of Dudh Kunda Lake
ABC 02/10 5300m at snowy plateau at the foot of Khatang South Face.

Climb abandoned on 14/10 at ABC due to snow conditions, and altitude sickness of Sala.

Plan A was to climb a new route on the South Face in about 4-5 days from ABC to the top. Plan B was SE Ridge. They had planned on fixing some rope in the lower part of the South Face, which they figured was the most technical and dangerous part of the face.

Sala got altitude sickness at first night at ABC on 02/10. He went down to BC the next day and recovered a little, others stayed at ABC for another night. On 03/10 and 04/10 lots of snowfall, forcing Siegrist and Schuepbach to go down to BC on 04/10.

Everyone down to lodges below Dudh Kundha Lake. Went up again to ABC after the snow, but eventually abandoned attempt on 14/10. Left BC on 14/10.
