High point at SW Face.
23rd Sept started climb but every 2 days snowfall and avalanches; 12th Oct tried for top; Park and 2 Sherpas left C4 at 5:00 am and at 7800m Gombu Sherpa toes frozen and turned back. Park and Pasang Gombu Sherpa reached 8350m at 3:30 pm and turned back because of wind and fatigue. 2 to 2-1/2 hrs more to top (had headlamps). No C5 because weather report was for snow 13th Oct and snow did came and destroyed all 4 tents at C2. Park returned to BC 14th Oct, others up but snow very deep and took 2 days to C1. 18th Oct others had problems with deep snow on 19th and wind: found C2 buried and retreated. Left BC 24th Oct after clearing C1 and some gear at C2.
