Team intented to climb from the south over the saddle (5400m) to the north and along the northwest wall to the summit.

They managed to climb the saddle (5400-5500m), but an unexpected complicated break appeared on the north side (4800m) and overcoming it would have closed the possibility of returning to the saddle and BC on the south side. The decision was
to return.
