High point team reached a big crevasse which they could only cross with a ladder. They did not have a ladder and they descended to C2. The weather was very bad. On 28/04 they returned to Makalu BC to find a ladder, but were not successful. They returned to C2 on 30 April. On 01/05 they were ascending to the crevasse again as they wanted to set up a camp there and try to cross the crevasse with ropes and ice screws. The snow was very deep it took them around five hours to reach it. When they reached about 6700m they were hit by an avalanche. Pemba and Dawa tumbled down for about 800m, Laza was able to self arrest. Pemba bruised his ribs, Dawa and Laza were fine. They had lost all the equipment. After the avalanche, they went straight to Sherpani Col.
