High point at NW Ridge.

2 May both members started up NW Ridge, taking turns leading. Could work on route only 8 days because of too much snow and avalanching fixing foot of ridge at 5300m to 6400m on very steep ridge (90-95 degrees in one rock section) of ice, snow, rock. Team gear stored near bottom of ridge in small valley and on 21st found Dina (4 meters deep lake and gear lost). Meanwhile very tired and gear gone and team too small: need 4-member team so pairs can take turns making route. Giovannini wants to return this autumn with 3 other members.
