Smt 20/05 by Sherma and Ang Furba Sherpa.

Sherma and Ang Phurba started their summit push from C4 at 8 pm of 19 May. They reached summit at 8:53 am of 20 May and stayed on summit for about 10 minutes, then descended to C4 where they arrived at 3 pm.

At about 11 pm Lakpa Sherpa who was with Ravi Kumar (India) came to their tent with snowblindness. Lakpa told them Ravi Kumar was dead. Lakpa was given hot water frequently that night and also on 21 May they stayed at C4 until Lakpa recovered. On 22 May they spent night at C2. On 23 May they went down to BC. Left BC by helicopter same day.

Ahead of Sherma team there were 4-5 climbers on the summit. They came across about 10-12 climbers while descending. Sherma team met Ravi Kumar and Lakpa at Hillary Step coming up.

Sherma shared permit with Ms. Bhumira Gurung.

Oxygen: Used from C3 to summit to C3 by Sherma and Sherpa.
