Giambias reached C2 on 8 Jan. He decided to abandon the expedition because of the cold.
On her summit push, Revol left C3 at 9 am and reached 7300m at about 11 am. She turned back due to the huge amount of snow and the cold. She descended, picked up Giambias at C2 and then both descended to BC.
Revol thought that she had taken too many risks on that climb due to the avalanche danger as well as hidden crevasses.
