29 Oct: Team left lake camp at 4 am, headed up towards the Mingbo La, set foot at
10 am on the SW Ridge. Many mushrooms and difficult crevasses.
30 Oct: Climbed through a loose rock band (middle section of the ridge), hard to
protect, with difficulties between 5B and 6A. Some more "snow puzzles
above."
31 Oct: Snow, ice and mushrooms to negotiate.
01 Nov: On top after surprising half a rope length.
Route called "Wild West" is 780m high, with proper 1100m of climbing (55°, Russian 5B).
