Two climbers were Yamamoto and Narumi (both male). Their first objective was unclimbed 2000m East Face. However because of worst wall conditions (incessant falling snow and falling rocks, they resigned the East Face and instead climbed the South Face. This was the second ascent of the peak itself and the South Face as well. BC was set up at 4100m, ABC at 4975m. Climbing started on 70-80°ice wall and finished on steepest rockbands at 6400m, then to the summit ridge.
