Seven Summit Treks Manaslu expedition was a combination of several independent teams (1-2 climbers each). Seven Summits provided transportation, base camp facilities and various levels of high altitude support (oxygen, high-altitude porters, tents, etc) as required and contracted for by each team. The individual accounts for each team are given below:

Term: Bad Weather

Bad weather, snow, snow, snow! I was too tired and I needed another day to rest, but it was the last day to try the summit (bad weather).

Dipankar Ghosh (India)

Ghosh and Sanu started their summit push at 01:30 am on 30 Sept and reached summit at 06:55 am. They stayed on summit 30 minutes and descended BC same day where they arrived at 07:10 pm.

Sherpa: Sanu Sherpa, Walung. Before this summit he also made summit on Manaslu on 9 May 2011 with Mi-Gon Kim of S Korea.

Finally was it true summit or fore-summit where most of climbers stopped in last season?

Answer: Me with Sanu Sherpa made summit at the very place where Mi-Gon Kim of S Korea with Sanu Sherpa and Indian Army team members made summit on 9 May, 2011. We had gone beyond the point where most of the climbers had made their summit this year. According to Sanu Sherpa that was the original summit point where we made summit.

Oxygen: Ghost from C3-Smt-C3; Sherpa from C4-Smt-C4

Dipankar Ghosh reached today at Samagaon after his successful summit on Manaslu.
Short expedition note:
He left Base camp for summit push on 26 Sept
On 26th reached C1
On 27th reached C2
On 28th reached C3
On 29th reached C4 and left 01:30 am for summit
On 30th reached summit at 6:55 am with Sanu Sherpa
Returned back to BC on 30 Sept at 19:50.
