Initial plan was to climb subsidiary approx 6000m peak (which they named Karbu Ri) to acclimatize, then attempt Langdung at 6326m (both previously unclimbed).

The team summited Karbu Ri, but did not attempt Langdung.

Karbu Ri is located between Langdung and Ripimo Shar on the Tibetan border and is given an altitude of 5965m on the Schneider Rolwaling map.

Team summmited on 18 Nov at 5:55 am after setting out from ABC at 2:10 am. Spent 1 hour on summit, then descended to ABC arriving about 3:20 pm. 600m of fixed line was used to protect the crevassed area of the glacier. Weather was great with temperature at about -18. No wind of any note. Large crevasse on the summit to cross over for final 15m.

Other members did not climb due to altitude or other illnesses.

Gary Sloan got HACE very suddenly with no other symptoms at Base Camp and helicoptered out. Gwyn Griffiths developed HAPE at high camp (ABC) after time with cough and diarrhoea and dehydration and helicoptered out.
