Everything has gone badly. My friend Phil Bartlett got ill at Simikot and could not go on. As there were only two of us left, we felt that in such a remote spot 10 days on, we would prefer to wait another year. (Based on my general rule of three in case of mishap which has happened many years ago in Mongolia when Lindsay had a major accident).

So it's all disappointing, but we will leave it for another time.
