On 19 May team set out from C4 at 2:30 am. They were behind the four rope-fixing Sherpas from Arun Treks. Couloir was snowy. When they reached high point, Ang Phurba, who was part of the rope-fixing team fell past the climbing team at 12:07 pm. It was a very windy day and he must have slipped. They decided to descend to C4, where they spent the night. On 20 May to C2.

They made second attempt and climbed to C3 on 24 May. On 25 May they aborted the second summit attempt due to high winds. They descended to BC on 26 May.

Oxygen: Taken and used from C3 to high point to C3 by Khoo and Sherpas.

Khoo's summit attempt was joined by Ma Yi-Lamu, Dong Hong-Juan and Mingma Gyalje.
