On 22 May summit team and Guzman, Ibanez and Becker left C3 at 11:30 pm. At the mushroom rock (8600m) Ibanez found out that he had severe frostbite on both hands. He decided to turn back together with Guzman and Becker. The summit team had a straightforward climb. They spent about half an hour on the summit, and descended to C3, where they arrived between 4 pm and 5 pm. On On 24 May they descended to ABC.

Frostbite: Ibanez was back in Kathmandu on 27 May. CIWEC treated him very well and he will not lose any fingers.
