Lenaerts and Maginelle climbed to touch C2 on 24 April and returned to C1 for the night. They descended to ABC before the earthquake hit on 25 April. The entire team was at ABC when the earthquake happened.
After discussing the situation with the rest of the teams on Makalu, the team decided to abandon the expedition. On 30 April they climbed to C1 to retrieve their material.
Fohal, Verschraegen, Wolput and Bollaert reached C1 on 24 April.
