The team was having lunch at ABC when the earthquake hit. They saw several avalanches coming down from the mountain.
When the Chinese government decided to close all the mountains they were forced to abandon the expedition. As they were unable to go to Nepal because of the destroyed roads, the CTMA transported them back to Lhasa.
