Summit team reached Makalu La from C2 at around 1 pm on 18 May. They rested for a while and started summit bid from C3 at 6:15 pm. It was clear and not windy. Straightforward climb. They stayed for about 20 minutes on the summit. Good views of Kangchenjunga, Everest and Lhotse.

They descended to C3 where they arrived at 1:15 pm and stayed the night. They descended to ABC on 20 May.

Naoko was climbing with Swee Chiow-Khoo from Singapore and Alexander Aravidis from Greece.
