The expedition leader Poulton, members Bojsen, Gibson, Morton, Taylor together with climbing Sherpas Phurba Wangchu, Pasang Nurbu, Lhakpa and Karma leat C3 at 2 am on 30th October for summit. Taylor reached to the top at 11:30 am with Phurba, Poulton at 12 noon, Moreton and Lhakpa at 12:45 pm, Gibson and Pasang at 1:15 pm and Bojsen at 1:45 pm with Karma. They stayed on summit for about 30 minutes each and descended to C3 between 4 pm and 8 pm. Next day 31 October all went down to BC. Poulton said that there was lots of snow and cold.

High points for other members: Boardman went up to 5500m below C1, Grifith up to C1 and Knight climbed up to 5600m on 24 October. All three had sore throats and cough. They left expedition earlier. Moreton left BC by helicopter on 2 November.

There were about 10 other climbers who summited on same day. Between 6 to 10 climbers mainly French and Germans turned around from the shoulder.
