The team made no C3 because the Mushroom Ridge was too difficult for load-carrying Sherpas. Their summit bids were therefore made from C2.

Five members and five Sherpas left C2 for the summit on 20 November at 3:00 am. They were Balnaves, Coupe, Koning, Leil and Repnik with Pasang Tenzing, Pema Chhiri, Pema Tshering, Thundu and Tshering Pemba. At 6300m, Coupe ran out of energy and went back to BC. The rest of the party continued to the summit at 9:30 am and returned to C2 at 1:00 pm.

Coupe tried for the top again with O'Connor, Pasang Tenzing and Tshering Pemba. They left C2 at 3:00 am, but again Coupe turned around at 6300m and with Tshering Pemba retreated to BC. O'Connor and Pasang Tenzing summited at 9:15 am and returned to BC at 8:00 pm.

Other non-summiting members:

Armstrong went down from C2 to BC with Koning, whose left big toe had gotten frostbitten (the toe will heal).

Baines turned around at C2 because he didn't sleep well and didn't feel like trying for the top.

Baldcock went no higher than C1 because he had a bad cough and couldn't sleep well; he stayed in BC until the climb was finished.

Trechman got no higher than 5900m on the 17th; she too had a bad cough and stayed in BC.
