Summit: 30 Sept by Malkowski at 1:10 pm

Malkowski started his summit bid from C2 at 12:30 am (NST) on 30 Sept. He reached the summit around 13:10 and stayed on the summit for about an hour, then descended to C2 where he arrived at 18:00. Next day 1 Oct he went down to ABC. There were only four people (two Italians Bergamini, Monaco, their Sherpa and Malkowski himself) on the summit that day. Malkowski said that the weather at the beginning was good, clear sky, but around 10-11:00 hrs clouds started moving in. There was no visibility problem. He did not see Everest, but he saw prayer flags on the summit.
