The summit party of ten members and six Sherpas set out for the top from C3 thirty minutes after midnight in the wee hours of 1 October. They were Anderson, Bellamy, Broderick, De Raad, Florenzano, Gomes, Gordon, Hamill, Sand and Tammen, with Sherpas Ang Karma, Chewang Lendu, Mingma Dorje, Mingma Tenzing, Nima Karma and Phu Nuru.

One member decided to turn around at 8100m: Broderick was moving too slowly and running out of oxygen already; she retreated to C1, where she arrived at 4:30 pm that afternoon. Ang Karma retreated to C1 with her.

All the rest of the party went on to the summit at various times. Gordon and Sand were the first to arrive at the top with Phu Nuru and Mingma Dorje respectively. All summiters descended to C1, but Gordon and Phu Nuru went on down to ABC at about 4:30 pm.

The only health problem was a snow avalanche that hit Karma Rita on 17 September while he was fixing rope. His knee and finger hurt, but he suffered no permanent damage.

Non-summiting members:

Faje reached 6700m (C2) on 22 September. He didn't think he was strong enough to achieve the summit and decided this was enough for him, so he retreated to BC.

Gottwald got to 5275m at intermediate camp between BC and ABC on 8 September and didn't feel well. He left the team on 9 September.

Murphy left on 2 October. He reached 6700m and the altitude made him slow down.

Silva got to 6700m on 22 September, then left to attend to some problem at home.
