Team left C3 at 2 am. Weather was windy and very cold. Just below the Yellow Band Neuschmid triggered a slab avalanche of about 1000m, which swept the team down for about 50 meters. Roeoesli-Zingg bruised a few ribs, but everybody else was fine. They descended to ABC, where they arrived at 6 pm.

Ngima Chhiring had summited Cho Oyu on 1 Oct with Stephan Keck. He stayed at BC and waited for the other Kobler & Partner team.
