Allen, Barnett, Good, Rossiter, Trundle, Whitfield, Phurba Wangchu, Ongchu and Lhakpa started their summit push after four hours rest at C3 on 1 October at 12:45 am NST. Barnett, Good, Rossiter, Trundle, Phurba Wangchu and Lhakpa using oxygen reached summit at 6:30 am. The two climbers Allen and Whitfield plus Ongchu got to the top at 7:45 am. They stayed on summit for about 30 minutes and descended to C3 at 9 am. Barnett, Good, Rossiter and Phurba Wangchu continued to C1 and rest of the members and two Sherpas slept at C2. Next day 2 October every body went down to ABC. Ahead of Barnett team there were about six climbers on the summit and behind them coming up were may be about 100 climbers including a Chinese team (about 30 climbers).
