BC at 5250m on east side of lake
C1 just over West Col
C2 just below SE Ridge.

The team trekked from Lukla to Mera Peak, and all members except Attarha and Mylnarczyk reached the summit on 25 October. From Mera they went to Baruntse BC.

Four members and four Sherpas summited Baruntse. They were Berg, Dornauer, Kuva and Schneider with Chhewang Karma, Gyalzen, Jangbu and Nawang Nuri. They left C2 at 5:00 am on 4 November, reached the summit at 12:30 pm and were back in BC between 5:30 and 6:30 pm that evening.

They had no problem with the notorious big crevasse across the ridge: it had been completely filled in with well-packed snow and was easily walked across.

Non-summiting members:

Attarha, Fromm and Mylnarczyk went to BC with the other members, but did no climbing. Attarha had a chest infection, the other two had no motivation to climb the mountain.

Hartwein also went to BC, but soon flew by helicopter to Kathmandu because she was homesick.

The remaining four members, Burkhard and Sabine Felber, Fuch and Parkhouse did climb to 6500m and 7000m on 4 November, but turned back because of the wind and the cold and descended to BC.

Maczuga only went to BC; he did not feel well and did not climb.

Sherpas:
Chhewang Karma, 28/1/89, Patle, Everest X1
Gyalzen, 25/1/74, Patle, Everest X4
Jangbu, 24/5/67, Patle, Cho Oyu X4, Everest X8, Lhotse X1
