Two members and three Sherpas climbed up to C3 on 9 October and then went down to rest.
This turned out to be the team's high point: very bad weather now set in: heavy snowfall, even rain, and strong winds. They decided to abandon the climb on 11 October.
Those who reached C3 were Krysztof Stasiak, Ryszard Pawlowski, Lakpa Chhiri Sherpa, Naga Dorje Sherpa and Samden Bhote.
The members and Sherpas no health problems, although Andrej Wojda fell in a crevasse when a snow bridge collapsed under his weight. He fell only five or six meters: he was saved by a fixed rope. This incident took place at 6000m when he was going up from C1 to C2 on 9 October.
