Thorvilson's summit push with Lhakpa started on 29 Sept from BC. They reached C4 on 2 October. Weather was clear and calm until approximately midnight at 23:00 of 2 October, then wind and storm rolled into C4. Entire camp retreated lower down the mountain to C1 or BC. Thorvilson went down to BC.

Manaslu summit Days this fall:

25 Sep: For climbers who arrived earlier in the season, I was not properly acclimatized yet.

02 Oct: For climbers who started the same day as me from base camp on 29 Sept, but moved from C1 to C3 in one day because using oxygen.

Note: A few climbers did try to make one final summit attempt starting from base camp on 7 Oct after the four-day storm that brought me down the mountain ended, but did not make it above C3 due to deep snow and avalanche.
