Smt 02 Oct by Johanson, Nima Gyalzen Sherpa at 10 am.

Summit team left C4 at 3 am. Visibility was bad and they ascended too far to the left. They climbed over a steep ice cliff for about 300m without a rope. Once on top of the cliff, they veered back to the right. They stayed for about 5 minutes on the summit. They descended to C2, where they arrived at 6 pm. On 3 Oct down to BC.

On the way down Nima Gyalzen fell into a crevasse (collapsed snow bridge) just outside C3. He did not get injured; however, it became difficult to get over the crevasse (it was about 5m wide) afterwards.

Johansen climbed with Brett Hammond (UK) of Ascent Himalaya and Christine Burke (New Zealand) of Himalayan Ascent.

Taken and used from C3 to top to C3 by Johansen and Nima
