Farebrother made a bid to summit Lhotse (after summiting Everest). After spending a night at the South Col (C4), Farebrother, Tashi Thundu and Fur Temba went on the 20th from the Col to set up a camp at 7800m for their Lhotse C4 push to the Lhotse's summit. Farebrother and Tashi Thundu set out from Lhotse C4 at about 1:00 am on May 21, climbed for about one hour, but then turned around because of serious rock fall. The descended to C2 for the night and next day, the 22nd, were in BC.
