On 11 May the team was attempting for the summit and reached C3. It was very windy and they descended to BC the following day in knee-deep snow. After this first summit attempt, Farina had to leave (Farina's high point was C3).

De Leo tried again for the summit and reached C4 with 2 Spanish and Zaffaroni. The weather was bad again with a lot of wind and they descended to BC on 22 May.
