In an acclimatization climb, Arnot returned to BC on 17 April went to C2 on the 21st, down to BC and again to C2 on the 26th. On 3 May she touched C3 and went up to the Yellow Band at 7500m and once again down to BC.

Her first summit bid started from BC on 13 May, went to C2 on the 14th and to C4 on the 15th. On the 16th, she and Tshering Dorje left C4 for the top, but they encountered high wind at 8400m and retreated to BC.

Their second summit attempt was successful. On the 20th they left BC and went to C2 and on the 21st to C4. They left C4 at 1:00 am on 22 May and were on the top at 6:55 am in "very nice weather, it was calm and warm." They were back in C2 at 3:00 pm that day and BC the next day, the 23rd.

Arnot used oxygen on her first summit bid from C4 to 8400m and back to C4, and on her second attempt, from C4 to the top to C4. Tshering Dorje also used it from C4 to the summit to C4.
