Pandit and his Sherpa Chhepal started their summit push from C4 at 7:15 pm on 18 May. The Pandit team got to the top at 9:56 am on 19 May, stayed on summit for 15 minutes and descended to C4 where they arrived at 2 pm. Next day 20 May they spent night at C2 and on 21 May they went down to BC. The team was stuck at the Hillary Step for about 2 hours on the ascent. Summit day weather was good, but on descent it was cloudy and windy from South Summit until they reached C4. There were 30-40 climbers ahead of Pandit team. Pandit realized frostbite in his toe at C2 when pain started.
