Brands and his climbing Sherpa Mingma Thenduk started their summit push from upper C4 at 9:30 pm on 5 May. They reached 8000m at 9:30 am of 6 May, then Brands realized he had frostbite and went down to upper C4 where they arrived around 2:30 pm and spent night there. Next day on 7 May they spent night at C2 and the following day 8 May went to BC.
