On the 23rd of April, between 50 and 75 cms of fresh snow had fallen during the night. Sherpas themselves saying it was too difficult to establish the track, Celikovic decided to go back to the ABC.
On 27th of April, Celikovic joined Hillary BC with Aschwanden and Vickers, where he waited 2 days for the helicopter (bad weather conditions). On the 30th of April, he with Aschwanden, Vickers, Gheischisaz and Yang flew back from High BC to Kathmandu by helicopter.
