Summit team and Ribaya with Phura Gyalzen left South Col at 9 pm. It was calm. Not many people on the route. They let the Himex group pass. As they were too fast [to get to the summit at sunrise], they waited at the South Summit, Hillary Step and Bishop Rock to slow down.

They summited at 5:15 am and spent about 10 minutes on the summit. It was cold and windy. They saw the Bangladeshi dead climber [Mohammad Khaled Hossain] just below the South Summit. They descended to C4, where they arrived at 10:30 am. They rested there until 12 noon and descended to C2, where they arrived at 7 pm. On 24 May to BC.

Ribaya reached 8300m. He was too tired to carry on and turned back at 11 pm together with Phura Gyalzen. They descended to C4. He waited for the summit team and descended to C2 with them.
