원정 개요

The expedition went to the summit in two parties. The first group of five members left C2 at 11:00 pm on 27 Oct: They were Coster, Geller, Karu, Nichiporov and Reynolds, plus Gyalzen, Jangbu and Palden Nima Sherpas. Reynolds turned back at 6500m as he had been a slow climber from the start and now he had mild altitude sickness. Palden Nima turned back with him, and they decended to C2. The other members reached the summit between 10:30 (Coster, Geller, Karu) and 11:30 am on 20 October. They got back to C2 between 6:00 and 7:00 pm.

Finally, Ms. Braat and Gyalzen (who came up from BC for this ascent) left the camp they called C2.7 at 5:00 am on 9 November and were on the top at 11:00 am. They went down to C1 at 5:00 pm.

Non-summiting memebers:

Bohn got to C2 on 27 October, but was not well and did not stay there, but retreated to BC.

Daniels went down with Reynolds on 28 October.

Gibson and Jackson who lived in Papua's hot climate, reached C1 when the weather was cold and windy. They went back to Indonesia.

Maybank left the team on 19 October because he had received a job offer.

Zeevi got to only ABC on 18 October and decided this climb was not for him.
