Seagram and Pasang Gombu established C3 on 29 September, but the wind was so strong that the tent was blown away, and they had to sleep in their C2 that night. They set up another tent at C3 at 6900m.

On 1 October they attempted to make C4 at 7100m, but they got only halfway there. Seagram developed peripheral edema (swollen face and hands). They descended to C2 instead, and on the 2nd they went down to BC. The climb was over.
