Both team members admitted they were not skilled enough climbers. So, when they saw that the final part of the ascent from the BC, meaning the summit ridge cornice with 2 crevasses and not equipped with fixed rope above 6800m, they just didn't dare to climb.

Xavis Aladel went 50m below C1 in a day trip from BC on the 30th of October (up to 6150m) Patrick Legendre stopped at the beginning of the glacier (around 5800m) the same day.
