Expedition didn't attempt the climb because of an overcrowded normal route! On 4th of November, another French team told them there was no hope to get a place to sleep at C2. Ms. Koenig could not hope to climb from C1 directly to the summit. Having to wait at least for the 9th or 10th of November to get a place at C2, the pair didn't have enough time in its schedule.
