BC at Japanese BC near glacier's junction
C3 at Makalu La (around corner out of wind, highest point on Makalu attempt).
"Had so much wind even at BC." 29th April reached 7640m summit of Kangchungtse. Had trouble with kerosene for stove and heard from Burleson about ice on rock above and already 2 nights at La, so De Bos and Willekens, the only people then in C3, went to Kangchungtse summit. Turned back and down to C1 after Kangchungtse ascent. 30th down from C3 and no one else up after that. Sherpas had cleared some camps and De Bos and Willekens cleared most of the rest.
