Summit team and Nestler left C3 at 2 am. It was cold and windy. The reason they started so early was the fact that a bad weather front was forecast to move in at midday. The team had set a return time at 10 am. Nestler reached 7150m at around 10 am and decided to turn back as the weather worsened. The others carried on and reached the summit at 9:30 am. They spent about 10 minutes on the summit in clouds and descended to C1, where they arrived at 5:30 pm.

Hamm reached C3 on 19 Oct. He decided not to join the summit team as he had a bad night and was not feeling very well.

Scheurer, Ijnsen and Toonen reached C2 on 18 Oct. They did not carry on due to exhaustion.

Brigitte Eibl reached 5600m on 15 Oct. She abandoned her expedition due to bronchitis.
