High piont below North Col.
3-14th April nearly continuous snowfall with 2-3m of snow with avalanching on ridge of route. Had reached C3 site on 3 April but snow conditions afterwards delayed progress. 15th snowed again but on 17th tried to go above C2 for 1st time. More snowfall again. On 21st returned to C2 and more attempts to go above. Reached 6100m only in deep soft snow which was consolidating. Would have had to wait quite some time for better conditions. No wind at altitude Irish reached. Date to leave BC was 2 May; actually left on 30th April.
