Kim and Seo started their summit bid at 4 am CST from C3 on 23 Sept. They got to the top at 12 noon (9:45 am NST) and stayed on summit about one hour. Kim Jae-Soo and Son, other Korean climbers along with their Sherpa, were also on the summit at the same time. Kim and Seo descended C3 and spent the night there. Next day on 24 Sept they went down to BC. The summit day weather was cloudy and windy. About 300m long way up to summit had knee-deep snow. They had glimpse of Everest and Lhotse. On that day Kim Hong-Bin also summited.
