Team left C4 at 8 pm on 18 May. Weather and snow conditions were good. When they reached 8086m there was no fixed rope and the weather turned bad, so they decided to turn back. They were also tired from the expedition as the distances between the camps were very big.

They descended in a white-out. Kondo reached C3, where he arrived at 10 am, Kurahashi descended to C2, where he arrived at 1 pm.

On 20 May everybody descended to BC and left BC on 23 May.
