High point team started their summit push from C2. The weather was good. However the Sherpas couldn't fix the rope on the summit day. They were told by the Chinese there was rope and snowstakes (they were meant to fix it and we had all paid them too), but our boys only found 5 stakes, not enough to make it safe. The team turned back and descended to C2, where they spent the night. On 1 Oct they descended to ABC.
Dale West reached C1 on 14 September, but felt the altitude so he called it a day after that first visit and returned to ABC on 15 Sept. He left the expedition on 17 Sept.
Oxygen: from 7200m to high point to 7200m.
