On 22 May Namgyal, Ngawang, Nima, Ngima Nuru and Dorje, members of Extreme Everest Expedition left C4 at 3:30 am and reached the summit at 8:45 am. They stayed on summit approximatelly one hour then descended to C4 at 7 pm. Next day 23 May the team went down to C3. On same day Pasang left C4 at 1:30 am and got to the summit at 8 am. He stayed there for 30 minutes and went down to C3 at 8 pm on 24 May. The team spent night at C2 and on 25 May at C1. On 26 May all went down to BC. The team brought down to BC 2500 kg of garbage. Besides the garbage the team also brought down two dead bodies from 8000m. The body of Uwe Johannes Goltz from Switzerland who died in 2009, buried in Baudha Kathmandu. The other body was that of Sergei Duganov who died on Lhotse on 7 May 2010. They planned to bring down the body of Scott Eugene Fischer who died on 11 May 1996, but those plans were canceled (his family wished for the body to remain on the mountain).

The expedition included 18 Sherpas besides the six summiters in collecting and bringing down garbage collected from the mountain.

The Extreme Everest expedition was conceived by friends of Save the Himalaya and operated by Mountain Consult.
