The expedition sent two teams to the top, but the first team summited only because they were fixing the ropes to the summit.

The first team consisted of Ballinger accompanying Phurba Tashi, Dorje Sonam Gyalzen, Rita Dorje, Tshering Tashi and Tashi Tshering. They left C2 at 00:20 on 5 May and started up from C4 at the South Col at 6:38 am fixing rope as they slowly made their way to the summit, where they finally arrived together at 4:00 pm. The foreign member was with them at the Sherpas' request for guidance on how to do the job.

The main Everest summit party left C4 at 12:25 pm on 19 May and reached the summit on 20 May as follows:

(For Ballinger, Dorje Sonam Gyalzen and Phurba Tashi, their ascents on 20 May were their second ascents this month, after having fixed rope to the top on 5 May.)

All summiters returned to C4 by 9:45 am.

Non-summiting Everest members:

Brice remained in BC throughout the climb.

Jacobsen reached C3 on 2 May, then went down to BC; he made an attempt to go up the mountain again and went into the Icefall, then decided he didn't want to continue and left the expedition on 17 May.

Chung went up to C2 on 28 April, but became concerned about his health. He left the team on 14 May after taking a while to make up his mind whether to go or not.

Oritz did not get past BC for no clear reason and left on 12 April with his wife and daughter who had trekked to BC.

Sandstrom also did not go above BC, and because of a heart problem left on 27 April.

Oxygen was used by all members from C3 to their high points to C2 or wherever their supplies ran out. The Sherpas who fixed the ropes on May 5 used it in C2 to the top and down to C2 or wherever their supplies ran out. The main summit party's Sherpas used in C4 to their high points and down to C2 or wherever their supplies ran out.
