Young climber Vajpai started his summit push at 3 am on 20 May from C4 with Naga Dorje, Nima Tshering and Nawang Tenzing. The team reached to the top at 8:13 am and stayed on summit between 30-45 minutes then descended to C4 at 10:30 am. Vajpai and his climbing Sherpas continued descending. They arrived C2 around 2 pm. Next day on 21st went down to BC. The summit day weather was excellent, clear sky, no wind and no clouds. There was one Japanese (Kondo) climber with one Sherpa on the summit. There were not any other climbers on the summit that day, Probably that was the day on which youngest person and oldest Japanese summited Lhotse.
Fixed rope: Sherpas put up (no idea).
