On 20 May Warchol reached C2 at 5 pm (CST). During his climb the weather started off sunny but turned snowy and windy in the afternoon. He got very dehydrated that day and felt very tired. He decided to descend to ABC the following day as he was too exhausted to carry on to the summit. He left at 8 am (CST) and got to ABC at 3 pm and descended to BC on 23 May.
