BC near smaller lake
C2 at shoulder of SE Spur.
C2 had to be a bit low for safety from avalanches so some older and less experienced members could not get to top. Not enough rope available for C3 on col (they would have need this rope in area of crevasses on steep section where upper lip is several meters higher than lower lip).
1st summit started from C2 at 7:00 am (very cold night and 1st on top was Hoelzler at 1:00 pm and Zintls about 2:00 pm.
2nd summit party started as 5 members and 3 turned back at col (6580m), 2 with very cold feet and 1 was too slow to reach top and return in daylight. Remaining two Donner and Staiger reached top.
13th both Klinks tried for top from C2 but could not go above col. Team left BC 16th.
