Arnold started his summit bid from C2 on 30 Sept at 11 pm NST. He reached summit at 10:30 am on 1 Oct. He spent about 10 minutes on the summit, then descended to C2 at 2 pm. Then to C1 at 6 pm and slept there. Next day to ABC. Weather condition was good with little northern wind and it was cold. Had pictures of Everest. Snow condition on summit plateau was not good. It broke almost every step that made walking a bit difficult.

Next day on 2 Oct Alix Von Melle from Munich and one more climber together summited Cho Oyu in strong wind.
